On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the inauguration of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the School of Architecture of the UPV / EHU proposes a conference around this Museum and the National Museum of Western Arts of Le Corbusier, in Tokyo, also completed in 1959.
Javier Cenicacelaya, Professor of the Area of Architectural Composition, and Fernando Bajo, Professor of the Composition Area, will be in charge of presenting in detail and contextualizing both museums and his architects, without forgetting that the tribute revolves around the American architect.
The day will close with an exchange of opinions between the participating Professors and the Director of the School, Juan José Arrizabalaga, who has recently visited both buildings.
