Inés Sánchez Madariaga

Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) - Rector’s Delegate for Social Affairs.

PhD in Architecture from the UPM and Master’s Degree in Science from the University of Columbia, New York. Full professor of Urbanism and Land Planning at the UPM.

She presides the Commission in charge of the UPM Equality Plan as well as the COST network genderSTE (Gender, Science, Technology and Environment). She also co-directs the Gendered Innovations project funded by the European Commission and Stanford University. 

She was invited as a visiting professor by different universities worldwide (Columbia, London School of Economics and Bauhaus –Weimar School of Architecture). 

She will be participating in the Summer Course of the Basque Country University UPV/EHU 2019: RE-housing: 1st Housing Lab in the Basque Country with the lecture “Housing and gender perspective“.
