Born in Madrid, he graduated in 1993 from the Higher Technical School of Architecture in Madrid and founded awa_estudio with Nieves Cabañas in 2007. He participates in many architectural competitions, recently receiving these awards: second place Empress of Carabanchel square; first prize Plaza del Reloj in Talavera de la Reina; first prize in the competition for Veterinary Hospital of Madrid and first prize in the Auditorium and Concert Hall of Elche. His production is varied and active on multiple fronts: university and cultural buildings, sports complexes, community facilities. He combines this activity with research and teaching: Doctor by the Polytechnic University of Madrid with a thesis on the architecture of the HfG Ulm. Since 2010, he is a professor at the Toledo School of Architecture. Guest professor at many European universities such as MsA FH Münster, TU Kaiserslautern, TU Nürnberg, FH Kärnten, Politecnico di Milano, University Institute of Architecture of Venice.
