Workshop organized by Habic in relation to the design of the Loti chair.
The Loti chair was manufactured by the company Hijos de Arruti of Zarautz in the 1950s. One of the former workers who had emigrated to Venezuela during the civil war, brought a chair on his return and, after finding it attractive for the local market , decided to redesign it and launch it to the market. The original chair was the DCW designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945.
With this same idea, we will redesign the Loti chair adapting it to 3 current challenges:
- Digitization and parametric design
- The maker / DIY movement
- Contemporary design
