Geometric patterns in the HfG Ulm. Diplom. 68.13 conference
A journey through the educational model of the HfG Ulm reveals us a geometry - the necessary basis for any design process - that is free and accepts movement and constant transformation. It proposes the analysis of objects, series and systems designed by students and teachers such as Zeischegg, Gugelot, Bill or Bonsiepe, as well as undergraduate theses such as the Diplomarbeit 68.13 by P. Hofmeister – a book of images showing formal experimentation at the HfG. Ulm designs start from scratch; their aim is to achieve the optimal form, die gute Form, and must be technically correct, functional and aesthetically irreproachable.
